Choosing a college major is an exciting but potentially highly stressful time for college-bound students. While it’s not imperative that you choose a major right away, you should start thinking about where your interests and talents lie: This will help you choose a field of study.
Here at Neumann University, we offer a variety of undergraduate programs , but we’re not done expanding our options. For that reasons, we’re excited to tell you a little bit about our NEW bachelor’s programs.

1. Criminal Justice/M.S. in Accounting
Do you want to take a step towards a career in law enforcement?
This five year program leads to both a B.A. in Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Accounting with an emphasis on Forensics and Fraud Detection. All undergraduate students pursuing a four-year degree in Criminal Justice are guaranteed automatic acceptance into a one year M.S. in Accounting program as long as they maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0.
2. Criminal Justice/Police Academy Option
This major is perfect for students who want to begin their career in the police force post graduation.
Neumann University is proud to partner with Delaware County College’s Municipal Police Academy to offer a Criminal Justice Major track, which allows our students to complete both their B.A. in Criminal Justice and their Police Academy training in four years. Students choosing this degree option will use the spring and summer semester in the third year of the program to train at the academy.
3. Political Science/Police Academy Option
We have once again partnered with Delaware County College’s Municipal Police Academy to offer an educational pathway that allows our students to complete both their B.A. in Political Science and the Police Academy training in four years. Students choosing this degree option will use the spring and summer semester in the third year of the program to train at the academy.
4. Mathematics
At Neumann University, you can obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with two specific tracks: Either general mathematics or mathematics pre-engineering.
The track in General Mathematics prepares students for a variety of careers in actuarial science, computer science, operations research, and cryptography. The pre-engineering track readies students for further study in Engineering.
5. Pre-Engineering
Do you wish to think and problem solve like an engineer? Neumann University has partnered with Drexel University College of Engineering to offer students the ability to obtain a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Engineering in approximately five years.
This program is highly selective and is only open to those students who have achieved a minimum score of 550 math score on the SAT and a high school GPA of 3.0. Students must maintain a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0.
6. Accounting/M.S. in Accounting (4+1)
Accounting is one of the more versatile majors when it comes to post-graduation employment. This five year program leads to both a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accounting with an emphasis on Forensics and Fraud Detection.
All undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Accounting are guaranteed automatic acceptance into NU’s master’s program with a concentration in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection as long as they maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0.
7. Sport Management/M.S. in Sport Business (4+1)
Start working towards your dream career in the exciting and popular sports industry. NU’s five year program leads to both a B.S. in Sport Management and an M.S. in Sport Business.
All undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Sport Management are guaranteed automatic acceptance into NU’s master’s program as long as they maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0.
8. Health Sciences
Do you see yourself involved in interesting health-related careers such as Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy? The Health Science Major (HS) is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and skills established by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), to become a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP).
9. Pre-Occupational Therapy
According to the
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics,
employment of occupational therapists
is projected to grow 24 percent from 2016 to 2026
. Neumann University is excited to offer our Pre-Occupational Therapy Program to students who wish to be part of this rapidly growing and rewarding field in health care.
The Pre-Occupational Therapy program at Neumann University is an academically rigorous program. Most master’s programs in Occupational Therapy will require students to have achieved a grade of “B” or better in their prerequisite courses and to maintain a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale throughout their college career .
10. Pre-Physical Therapy
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of physical therapists is projected to grow 28 percent from 2016 to 2026 . Demand for physical therapy services will come from the aging baby boomers who are staying active later in life. In addition, physical therapists will be needed to treat people with mobility issues stemming from chronic conditions, such as diabetes or obesity.
